Cagney & Lacey's Story...
Cagney & Lacey are two female, tiny terrier/mini schnauzer mixes. They were found abandoned in a park on a stiflingly hot day in Phoenix and were in desperate need of food, water and some TLC! Cagney weighs about 8 and a half pounds and Lacey weighs about 7 pounds. Both are estimated to be about a year old. Cagney and Lacey have an individual adoption fee is $250 each or $400 for both of them. We strongly prefer these two girls stay together. Both of them have been spayed, had full panel blood tests done, been microchipped and up to date on all of their shots. Our contract states that during the life of the dog, should something happen that you can not keep any of our dogs, the dog must be returned to VSGSR. Should a family member wish to adopt the dog, they would be given first priority. We are responsible for our dogs for their entire life. If interested, please email us at phxgsrescue@hotmail.com for more information. Emailing is the best way to contact us as we are all volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cagney & Lacey, a Phoenix Miniature Schnauzer/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Schnauzer/Rat Terrier for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Miniature Schnauzer/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Schnauzer/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Miniature Schnauzer/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
