Red's Story...

Red is a neutered male Redbone Coonhound, who was born in January, 2011.

Red is still a puppy, with the enthusiasm of a puppy. He loves to play, wrestle and do all that kid stuff. He would love a family looking for a new addition to fill that empty void in their lives, bring life into the family and fun. Red would greet you in the morning with a face full of doggy kisses, or be your jogging partner. He is a people pleaser sure to make you smile. Red does require a fenced yard to keep him safe. No cats.

For further information on this handsome boy, contact Sharen at 517-548-5720. Please call the foster at the number listed.

About Our Rescue Group...
Last Chance Rescue was formed in 1997 in order to save animals that would have otherwise been destroyed at area shelters. Giving them a chance at a loving home. We are a very diversified group, saving over 27 thousand animals from kill lists and research selling lists. We provide medical, food, shelter and a loving home until a new family is found. We are a true "No Kill" shelter, while protecting the welfare of the general public.

We are volunteers and many of our animals are in foster care.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Red, a Howell Redbone Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redbone Coonhound for sale in Howell, or seeking a Redbone Coonhound dog from a breeder in Howell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Howell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Howell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redbone Coonhound breeders who help with Redbone Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Howell paves the way for another one to be saved.
