Louie's Info...

Louie's Story...
Louie recently lost his long time companion and should be adopted by a family that can spend lots of time with him. Louie enjoys toys with bells and mirrors, especially now that he lost his companion. He enjoys time out of the cage and spent a lot of time out in his prior home, so he is used to being active! He also enjoys spending time in his cage on the lanai listening to other birds in the neighborhood (supervised, of course!) He has been in a foster home with dogs and seems to enjoy watching the dogs from his cage. He will chirp loudly when the dogs bark, adding his opinion to whatever is causing the commotion. Although introduced to both fruits/veggies and a pellet diet, Louie still prefers a seed diet, but we will continue to work on that!

Adoption fee $15 or $30 with cage

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Louie, a Tampa Budgie was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Budgie for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Budgie from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Budgie breeders who help with Budgie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
