Meow! My name is Fonzie
|Breed:||Domestic Longhair||Color:||Brown Tabby||Age:||Adult|
I am already neutered, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.
Fonzie's transition from outdoors to indoors has been remarkable. What was once a nervous and shy cat is now a friendly, frisky, and funny guy who loves to play with toys! He has an amazing, silky coat, and his paws are currently "winterized" with long tufts of hair emerging from the pads of his feet. In addition, Fonzie's fluffy tail is worthy of the pride with which he carries it.
Fonzie is categorized as a special needs cat because he is deaf as a result of chronic ear infections that have since cleared up while in our care. His hearing loss hasn't affected his spirit in the least, but he is often taken by surprise and turned off balance. We've worked out a good system, and so those occurrences are kept few and far between.
Because there's not an ounce of aggression in this big boy, Fonzie is allowed to co-mingle with FIV negative cats, even though he is FIV positive. He's very stimulated by the presence of other cats and engages them in play. His ideal forever home would come already equipped with a feline companion, or be open to adopting one of his current companions as well.
This 7 year old loverboy deserves the caring home that eluded him for his first 6 years of his life. Will that home be yours?
Rescue Group Info...
The American Street Cat, Inc's primary focus is on TNR (trap-neuter-return), but the kittens and friendlies found during the rescue effort cannot be ignored. They are brought indoors, well-cared for in a non-shelter environment, and promoted for adoption upon a clean bill of health.
We are a small, new (2011), volunteer-based, non-profit organization, with no paid officers or staff. Any donations (of time and/or money) will be greatly appreciated.
We are committed to minimizing the pet overpopulation problem, thereby minimizing the homelessness of beautiful adoptables such as ours.
By e-mail appointment only. As they arise, adoption events will be announced on our website under Events.
Fees apply, and an adoption contract must be agreed to and signed. A meeting with your potential pet is required.
We like to engage in e-mail or phone correspondence prior to arranging any meetings, and we will send a draft of our contract for review.
The American Street Cat, Inc. (aka TASC) is based in Brooklyn, NY. We adopt out to neighboring boroughs and the tri-state area.
