Dennis - Needs a forever home!'s Story...
Meet Dennis!

Dennis is a sweet Whippet X, approx 40 pounds, who was rescued in Taiwan. He has made the trip over to Vancouver and is now fostered in the Vancouver area.

Dennis gets along with other dogs and loves attention from his humans. He is 100% housetrained and walks well on leash. It does take some time for Dennis to get used to strangers but once you are a pack member, he rarely leaves your side. He loves to curl up in your lap despite his size.

*Please note: Dennis should not live with small children because he is frightened of quick unexpected movements.

Dennis is up-to-date on all vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.

If you'd like to meet Dennis, please fill out an adoption application at, http://www.penniesfordogs.org/adoption_application.html, or email Adopt@PenniesForDogs.org.

About Our Rescue Group...
"Science may never comprehend the full extent of what dogs know about language, problem solving, the past, the future, God, time or philosophy. In the end, we must content ourselves with the fact that dogs know enough to be dogs -which is all that is really required of them." - Dr. Stanley Coren

Regardless of where a dog comes from, their lives are worth saving, their "issues" are trainable, and people really can learn new tricks.

So whether it's from us or another rescue or shelter, Adopt Don't Shop! You can save a life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dennis - Needs a forever home!, a Vancouver Whippet/American Eskimo Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Whippet/American Eskimo Dog for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Whippet/American Eskimo Dog dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Whippet/American Eskimo Dog breeders who help with Whippet/American Eskimo Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
