Lil Betty's Story...
Lil' Betty - Lil' Betty is a typical playful kitten who loves to spend time playing with her 3 sisters (Teddi, Macy and Kim). When it's time to relax, she takes perch on the window next to Laura, or curls up on the cat tower, where she can snuggle in for a nice nap. She is the most laid back of Laura's 4 kittens, and would do well in a household seeking a companion for another cat. Born 6/24/12.

Laura - Laura is a great mama cat who raised her 4 kittens well and is now looking for a home to call her own. She is sweet and affectionate, and loves to spend lazy days sitting on the window sill watching the world go by. She welcomes you home and demands attention with little licks. She is a wonderful cat, and is easy as can be. She will even remind you it's dinner time with sweet, meow's that seem to say "feed me, please!".

Kim- Kim is a beautiful tabby and white kitten who loves playing with her 3 sisters (Teddi, Macy and Lil' Betty). She enjoys naps in the warm sunlight and hanging out, observing her sisters play. She is still very attached to her mother Laura and would not do well as an only cat Kim enjoys curling up with Laura or Lil Betty when it's time to take a nap.

Teddi- Teddi is one of the smartest kittens you will ever meet. She is a stunning black and white kitten, who loves to play rough with her sister Macy. Some would say Teddi is too smart for her own good, but I believe she has a healthy amount of curiosity. She is a very active kitten and would do best being adopted with another kitten (not neccisarily from the same litter).

Macy- Macy started out as the smallest and shyest of the kittens, but has blossomed into a bold and brave little tuxedo girl. She enjoys wrestling and rough housing with her sister Teddi and would do best in a home with another kitten (not necissarily from the same litter). She is smart and curious, but slightly more reserved than her sister Teddi. She would be a perfect family companion for someone looking for a playful and active kitten.

About Our Rescue Group...
Anjellicle Cats Rescue is a no-kill, all-volunteer,
not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We are a member
of the Mayor's Alliance and a New Hope Partner with
the New York Animal Care & Control (ACC). For over ten years, this Hell's Kitchen shelter has been a lifeline
for abandoned, stray, and neglected cats and kittens.
In addition, we work closely with the ACC to pull out
those who are in danger of being euthanized due to
overcrowding. Each one is welcomed with kindness and medical attention, with the goal of placement into a permanent, loving home.

Well-known within the Broadway community, we have been featured on Fox 5 Morning Show, New York 1 Television and in Time Out magazine. We always enjoy meeting new volunteers and people who share our mission -- to compassionately rescue, care for and place New York City's homeless cats and kittens.

Come in today to see our "cat room" and maybe you'll
find a new friend -- one of our truly "Anjellicle
Cats"!

Come Meet Our Pets...
If you've found the cat of your dreams and wish to begin the adoption process, you only need to call or email Anjellicle Cats Rescue and arrange to meet a representative at Spoiled Brats, 340 W. 49th St.. Adoptions are done by appointment although there is usually someone on site every evening from 6 - 8pm.
Our Adoption Process...
Once you've filled out an application, someone will go through an adoption package with you with updated information on cat care. We require a donation of $125 for one cat or $225 for two. The kitten or cat will then be personally delivered to their new home.

All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated with FVRCP (3 in 1) and spayed or neutered. We believe it is much kinder to adopt kittens with another kitten or cat unless there is already a cat in their new household.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lil Betty, a New York Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New York, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
