Nadine's Story...
This 1 year old young girl, weighing barely 40 lbs, was saved from a kill shelter and has settled nicely into her foster home. She is spayed, microchipped, and all shots up to date. As most Hounds are, she is very sweet, affectionate,happy-go-lucky, never meets a stranger. Plays well with other dogs in foster home. Also like most Hounds , she can be your jogging buddy by day and couch potato by night. She loves to play with a ball and will bring it back to you over and over.Very curious about cats and tries to play with them; but think would chase one that runs. This little petite girl has also been 100% crate and house trained. Not one accident! Did we mention she is SO sweet!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nadine, a Hagerstown Black and Tan Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black and Tan Coonhound for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Black and Tan Coonhound dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black and Tan Coonhound breeders who help with Black and Tan Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
