Ella's Story...
I’m a sweet and smart girl named Ella. I love my humans and have them extremely well-trained to take care of me and give me love every day. I purr and purr whenever I see my favorite people – I’d rather be petted than eat! I may be petite, but I make up for it in purr-sonality. I love to play with my sisters Jelly and Etta – can you tell us apart? Probably not! Here I’m pictured with my siblings Cotton and Biscuit – so at least in this picture you can tell that it’s me! Are you as smart as I am? Well, then, I guess you must be my adopter – because that would be the smartest move ever!

For more information about me, or about FOHA's adoption process, contact my volunteer friends at 703-385-0224 or adopt-a-cat@foha.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ella, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
