Pickles's Story...
Pickles is an absolutley wonderful 2.5 yr old 30 lb rat terrier who despite all she has been through is just as sweet as can be and so patient in waiting for her forever home! Pickels first appeared at animal control dumped by her family who could no longer care for her. While we were working to make room in our program she got adopted. Sadly, days later she showed back up at the shelter injured and the adoptor denied any knowledge of her. This time we made sure we had room!! Pickels is a wonderful dog. She is crate and house trained. She is good with other dogs, likes to go for walks and enjoys rides in the car. Pickles is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped - all she needs now is a loving forever home! **This pet is in a foster home, not a shelter, please use the contact information provided.** LOCAL INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pickles, a Woodstock Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Woodstock, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Woodstock.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woodstock already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woodstock breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woodstock paves the way for another one to be saved.
