Gracie's Story...
What a fabulous little dog! Who would have ever thought a German Shepherd and a Dachshund could have...........well you know.......but apparently they did, and this is the end result! Gracie! She is a 6 month old puppy who has the head, ears, pointed muzzle, and luxurious coat of a German Shepherd but the stocky little legs and small build of a Dachshund! The Doxie parent must have been brindle since where she should be black and tan on her face, she is brindle. And rather than her ears pointing straight upwards like a shepherd, they slant out to the side like a Doxie. However, like her GSD ancestor, she has the distinct black back saddle and graceful bearing. This little girl is compact, playful, loveable and looks like a miniature German Shepherd. Why not come meet Gracie in person?

She’s located at the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303 (only one hour south of Charlotte, NC) or call (864) 583-4805 to inquire. This is a family friendly facility with an indoor visitation room as well as an outdoor play area. All the dogs are inside, with air conditioning, and have their own private kennel.

Gracie’s adoption fee is $85 which includes spay surgery, Rabies, Distemper/Parvo & Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccinations, HW testing (Gracie is HW negative), worming, a 24PetWatch microchip, a free follow-up wellness checkup at the shelter's clinic, as well as 1 month of free pet insurance with PetHealth Services, Inc.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gracie, a Inman Dachshund/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Inman, or seeking a Dachshund/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Inman.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Inman already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Inman breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Dachshund/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Inman paves the way for another one to be saved.
