My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a fabulous little dog! Who would have ever thought a German Shepherd and a Dachshund could have...........well you know.......but apparently they did, and this is the end result! Gracie! She is a 6 month old puppy who has the head, ears, pointed muzzle, and luxurious coat of a German Shepherd but the stocky little legs and small build of a Dachshund! The Doxie parent must have been brindle since where she should be black and tan on her face, she is brindle. And rather than her ears pointing straight upwards like a shepherd, they slant out to the side like a Doxie. However, like her GSD ancestor, she has the distinct black back saddle and graceful bearing. This little girl is compact, playful, loveable and looks like a miniature German Shepherd. Why not come meet Gracie in person?

She’s located at the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303 (only one hour south of Charlotte, NC) or call (864) 583-4805 to inquire. This is a family friendly facility with an indoor visitation room as well as an outdoor play area. All the dogs are inside, with air conditioning, and have their own private kennel.

Gracie’s adoption fee is $85 which includes spay surgery, Rabies, Distemper/Parvo & Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccinations, HW testing (Gracie is HW negative), worming, a 24PetWatch microchip, a free follow-up wellness checkup at the shelter's clinic, as well as 1 month of free pet insurance with PetHealth Services, Inc.
