My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy at the Mutt Strut

Meet Lucy!!

F:\lucy hi keriLL.JPG
She is one beautiful girl looking for a home!!

Lucy was confiscated in a bust, her owner was charged

with abuse & neglect of Lucy and a "sister". She was then

brought to Chicago Animal Care & Control where she

proved herself to be a great candidate for Safe Humane

Chicago Court Case Training Program. www.safehumanechicago.org

This program helps those dogs that are incarcerated for no reason other than
their owners mess ups. These dogs will stay in a cage for as long as it takes for
the cases to be heard in the court system (which can take years!!) Meanwhile,
the dogs waste away emotionally and mentally. In Lucy’s case, she made it into
the training program so she had some enrichment during her days locked up
and a chance to prove to all how great she was.

When she completed the Court Case Dog Training Program, she was release into the Foster care system which
gave her a chance to get out of CACC and into a better situation. Of course, we took her in!!

Since her arrival she has demonstrated all she learned, her ability to get along, and most importantly,

that she is still a loving girl, with a great personality, an eagerness to please and a desire to love and be loved.

Lucy has begun training classes at the Bellyrub Klub and is

thriving. She has a lot of love to give and energy to spend.

Most importantly, she wants a person to call her own; one that is committed to her and her wellbeing. In
return, she will commit to you, unconditionally! She is that good!!!

Lucy needs someone to continue with her training, provide her with plenty of exercise, cuddle time and take a
leadership role so she knows she is safe and that someone has her back. In return, she will be loyal, and love
you back without question!! She is energetic so kids over 8 would probably be best.

Lucy has earned this right, don’t you think? She is available anytime to meet you at the Bellyrub Klub.

She is fully vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her $95 adoption fee goes to support the care of dogs at
Chicago Animal Care & Control. As of July 1st, the new adoption rates will apply...$200

Let’s show Lucy it was worth all she endured to finally find the best home ever!! contact us: 630-542-3559 or
sue@bellyrubklub.com to meet her!!
