Sandy's Story...
Sandy -Pug/Pek- Yellow/Tan adult female

Sandy lost her family, due to a divorce and the single mother having to care for children and no time for Sandy! They left her at a high kill shelter where she cried and cried for them. She wanted to be with people so bad, the rescue couldn't leave her behind. Once free from those confines, she was a whole new girl. She's super friendly and sweet with everyone. Sandy is a year old and very
good with other dogs. Cats are no problem for her either. Sandy's ready to start life with a new
family. She weighs about 10# and is housetrained. Her adoption fee is $250 to help cover the
medical costs of getting her ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sandy, a Germantown Pug/Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Pekingese for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Pug/Pekingese dog from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Pekingese breeders who help with Pug/Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
