Tiki's Story...
Tiki is a sweet Quaker Parrot, who likes to dance by bobbing his head up and down. He whistles several different tunes and says "Good boy," "Whatcha doin'?" and "Tiki's a good boy." At bedtime, he disappears into his little hut.

Tiki loves spending time out of his cage to play on his jungle gym, or hang out on your shoulder for a little grooming time. He can be territorial inside of his cage but is very sweet away from it. But, this behavior is typical for a Quaker.

Send us your Adoption Application if you'd like Tiki to be part of your flock.

Tiki's approximate hatch date is 2008, and his adoption donation is $100.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiki, a St. Louis Parakeet - Quaker was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Parakeet - Quaker for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Parakeet - Quaker from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Parakeet - Quaker breeders who help with Parakeet - Quaker rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
