Jasper's Story...
Jasper is a gorgeous, sweet (most of the time!) Peach Faced Lovebird, who loves to play, play, play! She loves chewing up toys and playing on her play stand. She also likes to hang out on your shoulder or walk around on the floor or furniture. Jasper can be nippy when she wants her way but loves spending time out of her cage and hanging out with people. Perhaps you have room in your life for this little character.

Jasper's approximate hatch date is 1/2011, and her adoption donation is $50.

For information on some of the characteristics of this bird, see this Species Profile page: http://www.staravian.org/species_profiles_cont.html#Lovebird

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jasper, a St. Louis Lovebird was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lovebird for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Lovebird from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lovebird breeders who help with Lovebird rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
