My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our Rocky. What a sad life this boy has had. He in under a year old, we had him neutered when we had him in rescue the FIRST time, and he is current on vaccinations. On to his story...Rocky came to us when he and his brothers were six months old. They were bubbly little babies and we all fell in love. The first thing we noticed about them, though? Whomever had them decided to crop their ears...with scissors. Their ears were in terrible shape, so we had them fixed up the best we could during their neuters. All three of the pups got adopted and to good homes! Then, months later, I get a call about Rocky. His current owner had personal issues and had to leave him with another person. Rocky was chained, in a kennel, very thin, with a HORRIBLE, infected sore on his back, and needed medical attention NOW! We still do not know what happened to him, but we know he was in a lot of pain for a long time. He was in the vet clinic for a month. He had to have surgeries to repair his wounds and throughout the ENTIRE ordeal, his tail wagged and he licked the vet and the vet techs. His heart is as big as any heart could be. (I literally get teary eyed even typing this.) No matter how much pain he was in, he was still upbeat, positive and most importantly forgiving. He is back in his foster home with many other dogs and he is happy to have friends and a family again! As you can tell, we are in love with this boy, but it is time he moves on to his happy ending. He loves kids, as there are three in his foster home. He is working on house training and benefits from crate training. He LOVES to walk on a leash...it is his favorite thing to do, other than giving kisses and getting belly rubs! Can you find it in your heart to offer him the home he so deserves? With his scar, he will always be a conversation piece and as we know very well, that brings dog lovers together!
