Rufus's Story...
Rufus is a good natured and playful 2-3 year old Pug-Beagle cross who is looking for his forever home. He is housetrained, neutered, up to date on his shots, great with dogs that are his size or smaller, and very respectful of cats. Rufus loves to make new friends, go for walks and sit beside you on the couch in the evening to watch TV. Rufus takes direction quite well, does not snore or snort or shed a lot, and sleeps quietly through the night in his own bed. He enjoys playing in the puppy-pool on hot days and does not react to thunderstorms at all. Rufus can get quite jumpy and rambunctious when hes excited to see his people, so some training in this area would help him be the perfect gentleman. For this reason, he would probably be best suited for a family with older children who wont get toppled by his love!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rufus, a Saskatoon Pug/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Beagle for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Pug/Beagle dog from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Beagle breeders who help with Pug/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
