Drake's Story...
This handsome boy is Drake. He is a purebred, solid black, neutered male Labrador. Drake is about 4 1/2 years old, and at that perfect age when a Lab is out of the puppy stages and is in a more easy-going state. He is a very sweet and loving dog who will make a great addition to a home.

Drake was just rescued from a City Shelter, but so far we have learned that he is good in the crate and indoors, knows some basic commands, and really loves people. He is good with his foster homes female Lab, but has shown dominance over the younger male. We think Drake would be the perfect match in a home with out another male Lab that is looking for an easy going dog. He is not really active or hyper like most Labs, and is content to be by your side. He is a very sweet and loyal Lab. He has a little separation anxiety, and needs a home that is there most of the time, would be able to take him places with them, and then would crate him while they are away.

If you would like to meet/adopt Drake, please go to and fill out an online application first, thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Drake, a Provo Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Provo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Provo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Provo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Provo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Provo paves the way for another one to be saved.
