Jem was dumped in a rural area near his rescuer and foster mom's home. He was scared and shy and did not know what had happened. He is a good boy and is doing well learning to walk on a leash and socializing with his foster siblings---Jem is named after the big brother in To Kill a Mockingbird. He is approx 1-2 years old and full grown at about 45 pounds. He looks to have some hound in him, but has the short legs and broad chest of a staffy. He is a nice size---big enough to keep up with his family but small enough to be easy to load and go. He gets along well with other dogs of all sizes--and also is a quiet guy--
He has a beautiful short and sleek tan coat and gorgeous almond shaped eyes---This boy so appreciates his love and attention--he will be a great addition for his forever family--he has not been fostered with cats so probably best to have a non-cat home

We pull dogs from shelters when their time is up or the shelter is so overcrowded that dogs will need to be put down to make room. We work with a number of local shelters and find wonderful homes for our precious rescues.
Dogs can be seen by appointment only as they are all in foster homes.
Our adoption fee is $275.00
Some home visits may be required before adoptions are approved.
We are a non profit 501(c)(3) based in Alvin, Santa Fe, and Hitchcock Texas. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and heartworm treated if needed. They are all in foster homes where they can be evaluated to see what home setting they are best suited to. All applications are screened carefully and great homes chosen.
