Milo's Story...

Adopting A Shelter Dog

These dogs come without background histories/ past medical information. We present these dogs as we have observed in relationship to age, size, breed, behavior, housebreaking, crate training, good with children, cats, dogs, and strangers. Dogs may present themselves differently in different environments, therefore The Dog Spot Rescue, their agents, volunteers, can not guarantee behavior, age, size expectations, breed, house Training, destructive behavior tendencies, and/or medical issues. All dogs from shelters have been subjected to pathogens from the shelter level which can materialize into disease in the future.  Each adopter must observe for themselves pre-adoption and make decisions for themselves the suitability of said dog and their tolerance levels for transitional time when adopting a shelter dog.  We ask that each adopter take their time when making the choice to bring home a rescued dog.

May have a little grey but I am still a young dog!

Milo may have a little grey in his muzzle but he is only around 4 years old! He is a super duper happy guy, loves to play play play! Friendly to all and ready to b your one and only special soulmate. Milo is one of many dogs saved from a hoarder in Bakersfield where over 180 dogs were pulled from one home.

Milo would be great as a walking companion, would love to go hiking, or go to the dog park or beach. If you want an RV dog, this is it! He loves toys and balls and could be a dog companion to another lonely dog.Milo has been waiting a long time to find his forever after home. He would love to be a grandma or grandfathers special little boy.

If you are interested in meeting Milo please email cookvacaville@aol.com and tell us a bit about you and your family, household, life and where Milo would fit. This boy deserves a home of his own.

Adoption is $150 and pays for his neuter, rabies, worming, shots, care. All dogs go home on a two week trial.

Your Adoption Fee covers the following expenses: Spay/Neuter, DHLPP, Bordatella, Rabies (if age appropriate), De-worming and Frontline/Advantage

Please Note: Shelter/rescue dogs have been exposed to many pathogens such as kennel cough, parasites, diseases and conditions some of which may not have been discovered prior to adoption. Any dog that shows symptoms here at TDS are routinely identified, taken for tests and treatment. Our vet bills can exceed $10,000 a month. However, without symptoms, we may miss a disease, or pre-existing condition or parasite. Consider carefully if you have the tolerance for these possibilities. We consider, you, the adopters, the last leg of the rescue process.

About Our Rescue Group...
They come from overwhelmed, overcrowded shelters, owners in crisis, neglectful situations, or simply abandoned to fend for themselves. Our mission is to eliminate the need for euthanasia, as a means of controlling the overpopulation of dogs, by spaying and neutering and by offering a place for dogs to go where they may rest, recover and be re-homed into a safe nurturing environment.
