Harry is still looking for his forever home...could your home be the one? Meet Harrison - Harry to his friends. Harry has returned and is available for adoption! This is only the neatest dog in the world but he has been returned because he likes to explore the world and doesn't always listen up when called... just like most men... His adopter was looking for a dog that would go on long mountain treks and stay right there with the riders but Harry...well, he just wasn't interested in limiting his adventures to the trail...This dog has so much love to give...and I think his perfect home is with a gentleman who wants a very BFF. He loves walks (but a leash is a must). He thinks he is a lap dog (not quite). Loves orange juice. Last weighed in at about 43-45 pounds. He is an adult probably 4-5 years old. He has short legs and is about 16-18 inches at the shoulder....Very stout. We always say we are not sure if he is a big dog in a little body or a little dog in a big body. If you would be interested in a stubborn minded Corgi/Airedale mix...please think of Harry.

There is a gentleness in his eyes and a distinctive look all his own. He gets along with other dogs and some cats. I am confident he would love children as much as he would love a quiet older home where he is the center of attention - so if you are an older home looking for a quiet pet to sit and watch TV with you he would be thrilled when the grandchildren came to play... Harry was a last minute pull from a gassing shelter - he has been completely vetted including neutered, rabies, he tested negative for heartworm and ehrlichia and lyme disease, has been wormed and is on heartworm preventative and been treated for fleas and ticks. In other words, Harry is ready to go down the road and move in with his new family.Harry is microchipped. He is looking for a forever home... Is your home the one he is looking for? Harry's adoption fee is $150.00 to an approved home. In order to adopt Harry, you must complete our application process and have a safety check of your fence to ensure that Harry has an appropriate and safe environment.

About SafHaven Animal Rescue Society

About Our Rescue Group...

SafHaven Animal Rescue Society is a small rescue that focuses on the rescue of animals in kill shelters that have been left behind - especially at gassing facilities. Currently, we only take in dogs, but hope to expand so that we can serve the feline and equine communities as well. We will also work with the public when they need to relinquish a pet to ensure that the pets are ready to adopt to SafHaven standards (i.e. spayed/neutered and utd on shots) and then we will provide a courtesy listing to find a good home instead of the animals winding up at the pound. Big or Small - We Love Them All.

Our Adoption Process...

All applicants must complete an adoption application; once the application is approved, applicants can meet with the propective pet and determine if this pet is the right one for their family situation. When possible a safety check of the fence is completed, veterinary checks are done and the adoption is completed. Adopter must sign a contract that they will give all and proper care to the animal and return to SafHaven if for any reason they cannot keep the pet (refund applies depending on the length of time). Follow-up contact is made to ensure the new family is settling in. There is an adoption donation requested for all pets - the amount is dependent upon the animal and expenses to prepare the animal for adoption such as spay/neuter; hw treatment, etc.
