Meet Harrison - Harry to his friends. Harry is a very loving mix of who knows what - but I would not doubt a little corgi - he is short and stout with a very loving personality. Estimated between three and four years old and weighs about 39 pds so he should not get any bigger. There is a gentleness in his eyes and a distinctive look all his own. He gets along with other dogs; not tested with cats. I am confident he would love children as much as he would love a quiet older home where he is the center of attention - so if you are an older home looking for a quiet pet to sit and watch TV with you he would be thrilled when the grandchildren came to play...

Harry was a last minute pull from a gassing shelter - we have no history on him but he has been completely vetted including neutered, rabies, he tested negative for heartworm and ehrlichia and lyme disease, has been wormed and is on heartworm preventative and been treated for fleas and ticks. In other words, Harry is ready to go down the road and move in with his new family. He is looking for a forever home... Is your home the one he is looking for?

About Our Rescue Group...
SafHaven Animal Rescue Society is a small rescue that focuses on the rescue of animals in kill shelters that have been left behind - especially at gassing facilities. Currently, we only take in dogs, but hope to expand so that we can serve the feline and equine communities as well. We will also work with the public when they need to relinquish a pet to ensure that the pets are ready to adopt to SafHaven standards (i.e. spayed/neutered and utd on shots) and then we will provide a courtesy listing to find a good home instead of the animals winding up at the pound. Big or Small - We Love Them All.

SafHaven attends specialty events when available such as the Black and White FurBall and the Summer Parade of Pets Series. We also attend other organized events, and list on facebook and on our website as well as Petfinder.com.

Our Adoption Process...
All applicants must complete an adoption application; once the application is approved, applicants can meet with the propective pet and determine if this pet is the right one for their family situation. When possible a safety check of the fence is completed, veterinary checks are done and the adoption is completed. Adopter must sign a contract that they will give all and proper care to the animal and return to SafHaven if for any reason they cannot keep the pet (refund applies depending on the length of time). Follow-up contact is made to ensure the new family is settling in. There is an adoption donation requested for all pets - the amount is dependent upon the animal and expenses to prepare the animal for adoption such as spay/neuter; hw treatment, etc.
