Lexi's Story...
Lexi was used as a breeder, so she has yet to be spayed. She came into the rescue because her owner was not able to take care of her and gave her to a friend. The friend could also not afford her medical care. She has several lumps on her skin that are not cancerous, just not pretty to look at. So she will have those removed at the same time she is spayed.

Lexi looks unhappy in her picture, probably because she was abandoned twice in as many weeks. We are looking for a special home that will help her be happy again. A forever home so she will never be abandoned again. And someone willing, and able, to keep up with her medical issues. Though the skin lumps are not dangerous and won't affect her overall health, they can become uncomfortable.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexi, a Ogden Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever for sale in Ogden, or seeking a Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Ogden.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ogden already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ogden breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ogden paves the way for another one to be saved.
