My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bio Update 12/16/12: Hi everyone!! Walter here!! I've been hanging out with my foster dad a lot and trying to be a very good boy. I've been doing really well with my eating & haven't had any problems lately. I'm looking for a home where someone is home most of the time to take care of me and it would probably be best to have an adult home for me. I don't mind bigger kids when they visit, but I get a little grumpy around small children & I don't like to be picked up. I don't mind being around other dogs but I don't like to share my toys when I play. When I left that awful shelter where someone left me, I was a skinny little bag of bones & was scared and shook a lot. But now my foster mom feeds me really good & I weigh 5.8 lbs now. The vet thinks I am probably 9-10 yrs old. If you might be interested in a special needs boy like me, please fill out an adoption application. I am waiting to go home with you.

Update 10/17/12: Hi!! Walter here. I just thought I should update a little about myself. I have been doing very well. The last time I updated about myself I wasn't feeling very well. I have been feeling much better lately. I guess since my foster mom & dad Gave me CPR & got me breathing again I thought maybe I should try & get better. I love to eat & since They soften my kibble & give me wet food I have been eating like a champ & keeping it all down. I probably weigh close to five pounds now. My foster Dad id my favorite person. He calls me his little buddy. Sometimes when all of the other doggies have gone to bed I stay up & watch TV with him till I get tired & crawl in my bed. Wally is a special little guy. When we first got him he was a shaky little bag of bones. He doesn't like to be picked up unless you let him know you are there or he will try to bite & give a lttle grumpy growl. Since he has no teeth he really can't hurt anyone. It seems to us maybe he has been teased or someone has been mean to him. He is slowly realizing we are not going to hurt him & will curl up on our laps or want to be petted. Walter would do best in an all adult home & it would be better if they were retired or home most of the time. If you are interested please fill out an adoption application or email for more information about him.

Update 09-16-12: Hi!! everyone Walter here I'm about 8 yrs. old & I weigh about 4 1\2 lbs.. I've been having a good time at my foster home waiting to find my forever home. I did give my foster mom & dad a scare. I had a seizure & quit breathing They did CPR on me & got me breathing again. All doggie mom's & dad's should learn doggie CPR. It saved my life & I have a lot of living to do. I was diagnosed with Mega-E. My esophogus is enlarged & I have to eat a soft diet & be careful with my water intake after I eat. I've been doing really well. I'm getting a little chubby on the chicken, veggies, & oatmeal my foster mom has been feeding me. If you might be interested in a handsome guy like me please fill out an adoption application.
Update 07/28/12: Hi! It's Walter I'm about 9 years young & I weigh about 4 1/2 lbs. I've been at my foster home now for 10 days. I must say it is much better than that shelter. There are some pretty girls here. I especially like Suzie. I love hanging with the gang & even though I have a little problem with my back legs & sometimes a little shaky I don't let it stop me. I go in & out the back door with the rest to do my business. I still wear a belly band because I haven't been neutered yet. I don't bark much except when my foster mom is fixing my food. I'm always ready to eat. It only took me a couple of days to figure out the doggie stairs so I can nap on the couch. I go back to the vet this week to see when I can have my dental & neuter. I will need to be adopted by an all adult family since I am so little & I don't want to be stepped on or handled rough by little children. I am learning to snuggle & love for my ears & head to be rubbed. I don't like anyone to come up from behind & pick me up to quickly. If you are interested in a little guy like me be sure to fill out an application. I've got to go now & see if my foster mom will give me some bits of cheese for a treat YUM!!
Initial Bio 07/19/12: Walter is 8-9 yrs old & 4 1/2 lbs of sweetness. He came from a kill shelter where he was said to have been a stray who was maybe hit by a car. He is a little shaky & has a little bit of trouble with his left back foot. But it hasn't stopped him from doing everything the other dogs do.He is very thin but loves to eat so that problem should fix itself in no time at all. Walter does not like his picture taken so I am trying to get a better one of him. As soon as I a better picture & find out more about him I will post it. Until then Walter is not complaining about his past life he is looking forward to a new & happy life with a family of his own who will love & cherish him.
