Kermit's Story...
Kermit the dog here. That's right, I said Dog not Frog….though I can sing a mean song and play the Ukulele with the best of em! I promise, you don't need to live on Sesame Street to make me your own…Any Street will do, as long as you can promise to treat this sweet, mild mannered, adorable pooch with all the love and respect I deserve. I haven’t really been an indoor dog before, so I’m just learning about these things called house manners…but don’t worry, I learn quick, am eager to please and I am doing great with my crate training. I'm not the most confident pooch in town but I do get along well with people, and other dogs and kids and cats too. Just give me some more training, some more confidence building and you’ll have the perfect family frog! Ah geez, I meant dog…2 years old-25lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes; microchip, neuter, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kermit, a Portland Wheaten Terrier/Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wheaten Terrier/Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen for sale in Portland, or seeking a Wheaten Terrier/Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wheaten Terrier/Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen breeders who help with Wheaten Terrier/Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
