My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blakely is the most friendly and handsome boxer-lab mix you will ever meet! He is still a pup at 11 months old, but is catching on to his manners and commands very fast! Blakely was rescued by his foster mom in Georgia on the day he was to be put down, and we are all so glad for it! He is the happiest of dogs and just loves to play and romp and be with you. Blake gets along well with other dogs, though I will be just fine as the only dog too- though we don’t know yet about cats. True to his Boxer breed, he is bright, energetic and playful. He has a gorgeous black coat (cute bobbed boxer tail) that is easy to take care of and bright, unusual ‘orange-ish’ eyes. He is crate-trained and totally house trained and is excellent in the car ( even after traveling 4 days cross-country to get to you!). Blakely has a permanent smile on his big, round boxer face. He’s never met anyone or anything that he didn’t love. Blake enjoys the water and playing fetch; actually any kind of play! He needs your help with some leash training, but it won’t take him long. He’s looking forward to walks on the beach and hikes and runs and freedom. Blake already has been through a lot: death row, foster homes and long haul to Washington State (where the best people are!). Blakely is more than ready for his forever family to just love him and finish his training and make him the happiest new family member ever. He is neutered, has all his shots, micro-chipped, flea treated, heartworm tested…the works! Nothing but the best for this big boy (Blake weighs 62 lbs) who has a second chance at a super life in a brand new state. This sweet southern gentleman will be your shadow and every dog’s best friend. He will thank you with multitudes of kisses and the happiest of memories right by your side. To meet this happy boxer boy, contact foster moms Pam and Denise at rescuinganimals@gmail.com. Be prepared to have his energy and love of life flow right from him to you!
