Gigi's Story...
Hi, my name is Gigi. I am about 6 months old and weigh around 25 lbs. I am all puppy and I love to play! I enjoy playing with my toys and am just a big ball of love. I love to snuggle and if you pick me up and hold me, I could lay in your arms forever! I love affection and I just get so excited when new people come around. I have a beautiful soft coat and love to have my tummy rubbed. I could use some leash training and could benefit from some basic puppy training just like all other pups. I get along great with other dogs and I am housebroken. A fenced yard or regular visits to the dog park will be beneficial for me since I love to run around and play. Maybe you can teach me how to fetch a ball!
I am spayed, current on all vaccinations and am current on flea and heartworm preventative. I am so excited about finding my forever home. If you would like to learn more about me please email INFO@FORrescue.net. I can't wait to hear from you!

Gigi is being posted as a courtesy to another rescue and is not affiliated with Friends of Retrievers. She is being fostered near Huntsville, AL

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gigi, a Nashville Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
