TINSEL's Story...
Hi! My name is Tinsel, and I all I have to say is Get me outta here!. My owner had cancer, so I came to Young At Heart, but wow, living with other kitties is scary! I really don`t like it one bit, and would love someone to come take me home NOW! I am sweet and affectionate on my own terms, and will probably be much better once I don`t have to worry about these other curious felines. I`m hanging out in a separate kitty condo for now, so I can have my own space, but what I would really like is my own home! I purr and stretch and want to be loved, but as soon as another one of those kitties comes into view- Hiss! I get scared again! Would you like a quiet kitty who will be forever in your debt for taking me home and loving me? I am good with my litterbox and am very healthy. Please come visit me! I want outta here!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

TINSEL, a Palatine Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
