Cody's Story...
Cody is probably a little less than one year old. He was left behind in the neighborhood when his owners moved. He is a very sweet and loving dog! He loves to chase and retrieve his big yellow tennis ball and will even jump and catch it in the air as it bounces. He has been an eager learner and already sits and lays. Cody is crate trained. While he is energetic at times and forgets himself, he is learning manners such as not bolting out the door and not jumping up on people. In addition to his loving nature and good looks, Cody is very intelligent and gentle. Cody does not particularly like feline members and would therefore probably do better in a catless home. While he is gentle and easy going, he does not seem timid or shy. Cody seems to be a happy, well adjusted young dog. He has been tested for heartworms, Lyme disease, and ehrlichia and was negative for all three. He is on heartworm prevention and flea and tick prevention now. Cody has also had all his vaccinations. He has been examined by a vet who found no illness.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cody, a Conway Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Conway, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Conway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Conway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Conway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Conway paves the way for another one to be saved.
