Mittens's Story...
If you are interested in viewing or adopting this kitty, please go to www.orphankittenrescue.com/adopt and fill out an application.

Mittens is a very playful and adventurous boy. He was one of the kittens who were rescued with their momma cat from a construction site at Metrotown/Burnaby in May. Their story made the local news. Mittens is currently living in a foster home together with his sister Booster and his mom, Naiomi.

Mittens is always up for playtime. He plays on his own, but also loves to interact with us. He greets us at the door and starts purring as soon as we pet him. His fur is very fluffy and soft.

Mittens is curious and likes to explore. With his feisty, funny character, he wins your heart immediately. Mittens is very well behaved. He is gentle in his play and follows the rules. He will do well with other cats and would make a good family cat

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mittens, a Vancouver Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
