Moonshine's Story...
If you are interested in viewing or adopting this kitty, please go to www.orphankittenrescue.com/adopt and fill out an application.

Moonshine has grown up to be a very quirky little cat! She was the runt of the litter, and is still very tiny. She holds her tail curled up over her back at all times, which is very adorable! She also has amazingly soft black fur, with a few long and wiry white hairs sticking out of her arms and chest -- so cute! Moonshine is one of the friendliest cats I have ever met, and she is a huge snuggler (she loves to climb up on your shoulders and ride around). Both she and her sister, Corona, are wonderful with dogs of all sizes, and LOVE to play and snuggle up with my three dogs. Both sisters are also incredibly food motivated, more than I have ever known a cat to be. Feeding time is quite the show with these two -- they "beg" for food worse than a dog!! Moonshine and Corona both also come right to you when called!

Both kitties have been spayed, vaccinated, and de-wormed. They are healthy and have been strictly indoor cats. Moonshine and Corona must be adopted together.

Moonshine is independent and could be adopted by herself. However, she could also go with her siblings, Corona or Sambuca.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moonshine, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
