Scotch's Story...
Hi, my name is Scotch (short for Butterscotch) and I would love to go home with you. My siblings and I were born under a mobile home and we were taken into the adoption program as part of VPAS' "Summer Home" Project. I am very bonded to my sister Marble, and I think it would be fun to find a home with her, but we don't have to be adopted together. As long as I have a home with another kitty to play with and a human to love me I will be happy. I am a purr-machine; I start purring the moment that I see a person and don't stop - ever! I am very snuggly and will make the perfect companion for someone who likes to cuddle. For more information about me please come to VPAS for a visit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scotch, a Saanichton Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Saanichton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Saanichton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saanichton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saanichton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saanichton paves the way for another one to be saved.
