Ruby's Story...
Hi, my name is Ruby! I am a five year old labrador retriever. I love to play with my toys and love to go for car rides! I ride very well in the car and would love to run errands with you. I walk very well on a leash and enjoy going for nice walks. My favorite thing to do is have my belly rubbed! I sleep very nicely in my bed and am potty trained. Because my previous owner didn't give me monthly heartworm preventative, I have heartworms. I am about to be treated for them and I will be as good as new! You'd never know I have them because I am just so energetic and friendly!

I am spayed, micro chipped and current on all vaccinations I would really like to find my FORever home so if you are interested in me, please email INFO@FORrescue.net. I look forward to hearing from you!

Ruby is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby, a Huntsville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
