Cheeko's Story...
Meet CHEEKO: He is about 1-2 years old and was given up by his owner along with 3 other cats. Those other cats have been adopted and he is left here by himself. The moment you walk into his room, he hops to the front of the cage to claim your attention. He meows and stick his paws out to get you to pet him. He has a lot of life in him and is content just being cuddled by you. He has been neutered and been to his first vet appointment and was given a clean bill of health. He is ready to get to his new home! Please come by and say hello to him, because I can promise you will hear him saying "hello" back to you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cheeko, a Brownstown Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brownstown, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brownstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brownstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brownstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brownstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
