Phoebe's Story...
Phoebe is a nice calm girl who really wants to be near her human, get and give affection. She is mixed with something (we think JRT), but acts and is shaped like a doxie - sniffs, snoops, and hunts in the yard, lays flat out for some sun time and snuggles with her dog buddies.

At some point PB's tail was broken or injured so it doesn't stand up or wag much, but her spine is strong and has been unaffected. She doesn't need a tail to show you she's happy - she bounces around just fine.

Phoebe loves her foster home, but needs a permanent home where she can get lots of love. She gets along fine with other dogs and will snuggle in a group or with a buddy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phoebe, a Vista Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Vista, or seeking a Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
