Madison-Prison Graduate's Story...
I'm back! I am a proud graduate of the Friendship APL Prison Program. I have been at the Grafton Correctional Institution getting trained in basic obedience and manners for the past several months. I am ready and available to be the best dog I can be in my new home. The only trouble is I need a home. How about yours? They tell me Prison Grads are adopted quickly. I sure hope so. I want to show my new family how much I have learned. Madison has gained weight and looks great. This pic was taken before she went for training.

Meet Madison! She's a sweet Foxhound mix that's only 2 years old. She's a transfer from the Medina County SPCA. Madison is a social girl with a lot of, nose to the ground energy. She would love a big fenced in backyard or even a farm to live on. Madison barks a lot in her cage, but once you take her out she's fine. If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting Madison, please bring them for a meet and greet. Madison does NOT like cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Madison-Prison Graduate, a Elyria Foxhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Foxhound for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Foxhound dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Foxhound breeders who help with Foxhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
