Furry Kids' Refuge needs BLEACH and LYSOL type cleaners (NO PINE Scented, please).  If you have any to spare you can drop them off at our weekly adoption events held at the Lee's Summit Petco every Saturday from Noon to 4pm.  Or call 816-277-8284 to arrange for a pick-up of large donations.  Thank you!

(AP) Hi!  My name is Dixie and I'm a really lucky girl!  My previous owner didn't want me and brought to the shelter.  A really nice lady was there and said she would take me. Well, that didn't work out because I'm not really good with cats and this nice lady has cats.  But not to worry....Furry Kids was contacted and they found a foster home for me.  It's really nice there too!  I have a foster mom and dad that take really good care of me and I have lots of other doggies to play with!  My foster mom says I'm a very sweet girl!!  AND I'm housebroken....BONUS!!

I have been spayed, vaccinated, wormed, micro chipped and my adoption fee includes a 2 week trial to help ensure everyone's happiness.
