My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beau is a 1 yr old Purebred Golden Male.

Beau is housebroken and LOVES everyone and everything; dogs, people, toys, bones, food, and the dog park. Beau was even within a few feet of a cat and showed more curiosity than desire to chase. He shows an interest in kids when he hears them. Beau would do well in a home that does not have kids under 7 or 8 because he doesn't know his own strength.

At first, Beau tried to pretend he didn't know ANY commands but quickly figured out "sit" and is working on "wait" and "stay". He loves to be a lap dog and cuddle; he has not ventured onto any furniture by himself so far. Beau has been left alone with run of the house with another dog and the very worst he could manage to do, was to rip up newspapers out of the recycling.

He is a joy to watch when he picks out a toy and plays by himself with it. He will come up to you with a toy, no matter what you are doing, and entice you into playing with him.

All in all, he is VERY well behaved for a youngster. He is SOOO happy to be in his foster home and out of the place where he was. When Beau first arrived to his foster home, they thought there were little pieces of mud on his chest. These pieces fell off with a little rubbing and petting. Underneath to their surprise were little bumps. What they had believed to be mud, had been little scabs! The hair on his chest is sparse, maybe from poor quality food, maybe from whatever happened to him. His elbows also have no hair on them and look like they are healed wounds.

Beau is a great boy and he deserves to be cherished!
