Duke's Story...

Roxy and Duke are charming kittens who love to play on their scratching post chasing mice and toys. Duke is the troublemaker of the bunch and loves to explore all over the house, even the toilet bowl (he almost fell in)! Roxy will cuddle up to you and watch her brother run by. These two could be on the SFU wrestling team. They chase, roll and hug each other to death, all in the name of good fun. Once these two have finished with playtime, they turn into purr machines and love to snuggle on top of you -- both at the same time! With a good rub, both kittens are so content. Each morning during mealtime, they meet you with boundless energy and unconditional love. They are learning how to behave by staying off tables and only scratching where they are allowed. All in all, there is only one word for these two monkeys...adorable!

Duke and his sister Roxy have a strong bond and must be adopted together.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
