Facts about Bogey
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
already neutered, housetrained, and a special needs pet.
I am already neutered, housetrained, and a special needs pet.
Bogey is an extremely friendly and mellow FIV-positive, 4 year old male kitty. Bogey is such a calm gentleman – he just wants a lap to sit in and will stay there as long as you let him. Bogey has black fur but with a very unique feature – the very tips of his fur is streaked with white giving him a unique, especially handsome look. Bogey also has a favorite trick and toy – he has a squeaky mouse (which must go home with him) that he will throw in the air and chase – it is hilarious to watch. Bogey is just a love who wants a home of his own whether as an only cat, as a companion cat or in a more active household with other animals.
This cat is FIV positive; FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. It is a lentivirus, meaning that it progresses very slowly, gradually affecting a cat’s immune system. It is passed through blood transfusions and through serious, penetrating bite wounds (mainly by stray, intact male cats). FIV cats usually live long and healthy lives as long as they are kept up-to-date on vaccinations and any illnesses that develop are treated aggressively.

About Our Shelter...
Adopting the unadoptable. Providing abandoned and unwanted pets a second chance.
Helping Paws Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no kill shelter, housing almost 200 healthy cats and kittens, as well as special needs, FIV and FELV cats. They are housed in rooms not cages; waited on by loving volunteers, have toys, TV’s with cat videos and water fountains.
The goal of the shelter is to not only find them homes, but to provide a wonderful home for the cats while they are in our care.
We hope to someday provide an equally loving environment for dogs and other animals when we have a larger facility.
