Chuck's Story...
Chuck is a 5-year old male cat with a very sad story. He was left along with his brother and sister all stuffed into one carrier outside a closed vet’s office in the hot sun. Fortunately someone noticed the carrier and the three cats were saved though it was close – terrible how cruel some people can be. The vet asked Helping Paws to take in the cats and we readily agreed. Chuck’s brother was adopted fairly quickly but his sister never got over the tremendous adversity of losing her home and family and seemed to give up and then passed away despite everything we tried to do for her.Chuck is desperately looking for a well-deserved new home. He is a very friendly and easy going cat. He is a little shy and won’t initially come to you but he absolutely loves attention and will almost certainly be a very affectionate lap cat in a new home. Please contact Helping Paws to meet Chuck and see if he is the right cat for you.

About Our Shelter...
Adopting the unadoptable.
Providing abandoned and unwanted pets a second chance.

We are Lee County's newest animal shelter. We do not euthanize pets to make room for other animals. We provide housing for special needs cats/kittens as well as healthy animals.

We do not believe in cages and try to keep the animals in a "home-like" setting.

Due to lack of space, at this time we are only accepting cats.
