Duchess's Story...
Duchess is a delightful girl. She is very pretty and smart and oh so charming. She loves to play with her foster siblings, running and wrestling and just generally acting silly. She is even willing to share her toys and her bed with the other dogs. However, she thoroughly enjoys a good snuggle and gives puppy kisses, too. She will make an excellent companion. She is about 35 pounds of butt wiggling happiness. She is crate trained and is currently learning basic commands, such as sit, stay, and down. She would make an excellent agility dog and is very focused on the person training her.

Now, the only thing she needs is a loving home with people who will value her intelligence and her charming personality. Could you be her next family?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duchess, a Killen American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer for sale in Killen, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in Killen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Killen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Killen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Killen paves the way for another one to be saved.
