Rascal's Story...
Rascal is new to our program. Rascal is a sweet little boy who loves to go on walks and cuddle with his people. He also loves bones and toys. Rascal has the jack russells feisty personality with a soft fluffy coat like a Maltese. He does get scared at adoption events so would do best meeting his new family one on one. Please email if you are interested in meeting him.

Rascal is around 1-2yrs old and about 10lbs. Updated on shots, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $125.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rascal, a Houston Jack Russell Terrier/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Maltese for sale in Houston, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Maltese dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Maltese breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
