Riley's Story...
Riley is an 8 year old sable sheltie. He is a very calm, friendly happy guy that was given up by his owner that could no longer take care of him. Riley gets along with other dogs, and is good with meeting new people. He is obedient and just wants to please his people.
Riley came to us very over-weight, and he is currently on a healthy diet to help him get down to his desired weight.
If you would like more information on Riley or would like to fill out an application, please contact us at k9scome1st@aol.com.
His adoption fee is $250.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Ft. Myers Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Ft. Myers, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Ft. Myers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft. Myers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft. Myers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft. Myers paves the way for another one to be saved.
