Linus Gaston's Story...
This little guy is just cute as a bug. He escaped a rural South Carolina kill shelter by the skin of his teeth, only to be diagnosed with heartworm disease. A volunteer who works at the SC shelter from whence he came agreed to foster him while he was being treated.

Linus now has a clean bill of health and needs to make his way north. His foster mom has incoming dogs and cannot keep him much longer. He needs a foster home while we work toward finding him a permanent home.

Linus is a happy little guy, enjoying the company of other dogs as well as that of his humans. He's really the perfect age... past manic puppyhood and still playful. Can you foster Linus?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Linus Gaston, a Waldorf Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
