Milford's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Milford's Story...
Milford was rescued from a shelter. He was pick up as a stray. We think he is a senior around 12 years old. He weighs 11 pounds but needs to gain a couple. The person who found Milford thought he had been hit by a car. X-rays shows it's an old injury. He has some injury to a couple disc. He would not be a candidate for surgery based on the age of the injury. He does REALLY well with walking and doing stairs. He is just a little weak in the hind end. He loves other dogs and is sooooo sweet. His medical is up to date now and he has been neutered and micro chipped. He is house broken and uses a dogie door. He was loaded with fleas when he was picked up. His coat will now improve with a good diet. He does great when given a bath too. This is one sweet boy. If you would like to adopt Milford please complete our on line application. Please note !!! We require a home visit and vet reference on all our rescues !!! We do not transport our pekes.Milford is being fostered in Richmond Va

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Milford, a Richmond Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
