Rico's Story...
Hi there! Looking for a great dog in a just-right size? I'm a nice young guy weighing about 25 lbs. Not sure what's in the mix besides heeler, but the result is distinctive. :) I'll need a fenced area and would welcome a kid or dog pal. I also like to go walking on leash.
Just use the link to send our one-page application! Or feel free to email or call. The adoption fee is $85. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rico, a Tahlequah Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Tahlequah, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Tahlequah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tahlequah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tahlequah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tahlequah paves the way for another one to be saved.
