Duffy's Story...
What a charmer, Duffy knows how to work a room!

Rescued on his last day from a very high kill shelter. He is one lucky dog indeed. Just neutered, cute as a button, would love to sit in your lap and call you friend. He is very affectionate, gets along great with other pups and people. Very outgoing.

He's learning to walk on a leash without pulling with excitement and working on his potty training. We're pretty sure he was raised outside, and living in a house is new to him. He is smart and wants to please, but he would need a family/adopter with lots of patience with him to continue to work on the potty training.

We LOVE this little guy, he will steal your heart away. He has a microchip, up to date on his shots and has been neutered. He is READY to find a great home with an easy going new mom or dad. He will be worth effort!
Thank you for considering adopting a rescue dog. Duffy will do best in a home where he is not left for more than 3 to 4 hours on a regular basis, a buddy and a yard and all of his dreams would come true. He is VERY social with dogs.

We are Lucky Pup Dog Rescue, a 501c3 non profit dog rescue in San Diego, California. We are a small rescue staffed by all volunteers.
Our adoption process does require an application, a home visit and a min tax deductible donation to our rescue of $200
Your donation helps to cover Duffy's costs (spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, worming, flea treatments and any other medical needs). Your donation not only helps the dog you adopt, Duffy,,but it also helps us to rescue another dog from the shelter.

Our APPLICATION is located on our website http://www.LuckyPupDogRescue.com.

Once we have your application, we can set a time to meet the pup (s) you are interested in. Many of our dogs are in foster homes around the community, so we would need to set an appointment.
We also hold monthly adoption events around the San Diego area and they are listed on our website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duffy, a san diego Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in san diego, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in san diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in san diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a san diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in san diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
