Winston was approximately 6 weeks old when he was found meowing in a tree in an industrial area of downtown Sacramento. He was terrified, hungry and hurt with what looked like a broken foot. This guy had a stroke of good luck-- the person who found him happens to be roommates with a volunteer foster at Purebreds Plus who instantly took him in, no questions asked. A PPCR vet checked out his foot-- which would flop around-- and it was checked out fine. It was not broken, but possibly had a bit of nerve damage. Winston lay around for a few days before he felt strong enough to walk around. His foot is now 100% better. Once he was introduced to the 3 older cats in the household, he was instantly accepted and he charmed his way into their hearts. The matriarch (a 6 yr old persian) regularly grooms him. He likes it. Another cat, who is shy, is amused by him.

This guy is a mellow, but spunky cat who wants to have a human connection. He is a loverboy- he will sleep with you, lay next to you, follow you. He would do well with other cats or alone, though his foster mom thinks he would prefer to be around others. He does ok with a small older dog in the household; he would need to be introduced very gently to a dog as he is not used to them. Winston is now ready to find his forever home.
