My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE: Hi! They call me Gunner or Gun. I am about 4 to 5 years old and come from a shelter in California. I came in with a lovely girl, Candy, and we had hoped to be adopted out together, but now it looks like we may be quite happy going off on our own! I love my new foster family, but would truly love to find my forever family. I like long walks in the morning and a short walk after dinner with a good belly rub . . . . . a soft couch to lay on is pretty darned nice, too! My favorite toy is the ball, and if you throw it I will take off like a rocket then play my very favorite game of enticing you to chase me! My new foster mom says I am a mellow fellow and just a wee bit overweight so we are watching what we eat and exercising! Really like the exercise part but not so crazy about the "watching what we eat" thing . . . . I like to eat! It was previously reported that I like to dig, but my foster mom keeps me busy with walks and training and I prefer that to digging!! I am learning how to turn the lights off and learning some great new manners, so I'm hoping to find a new home that can appreciate what a smart and wonderful dog I am. A cat-free home would probably be best for me.
