Ruff Ruff! My name is Sugar
|Breed:||American Pit Bull Terrier/Dalmatian Mix||Color:||White||Age:||Young|
|Size:||Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)||Sex:||Female|
I am a special needs pet.
Sugar is deaf. When her owners realized this, she was no good to them and they wanted to take her in the woods and shoot her. When we rescued Sugar she was eat up with fleas, ticks and worms. In fact the worms were so bad she almost died. Sugar has such a beautiful spirit that doesn't give up and we weren't going to give up on her either. She is now worm free and healthy! In addition to her spirit, Sugar has another quality that is very unique. Her nose is a hidden Mickey!!! Sugar is a big softie! She is very well behaved and doing well learning doggie sign language. She thinks she is a lap dog and loves nothing more than to be in close contact. She is an all-around great dog, despite her disability she understands so much and just wants to please you! She has experience with children, she loves to run and play and is best friends with her foster toddler! There are so many things that make her special, and she would love to show you how much she has to offer. She is potty trained and crate trained, she knows that toys are for chewing, and she understands when it's time to play, and when it's time to relax. She deserves the best! Sugar's adoption fee is 150.00
Rescue Group Info...
A small group of family and friends dedicated to saving the lives of pets. Our name represents the FAITH that we have in our rescued pets, the HOPE they have that one day they will find their forever home, and the unconditional LOVE that they give.
Three things will last forever--faith, hope, and love--and the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13
We believe that there isn't a price that compares to the unconditional love a pet could give. Even though we would love for every family to have a pet, we do need to charge a miminal fee to help cover a little of our costs. We do work with families that would love to have a pet but need a little bit of help to get them started.
We are a 501(c)3 rescue. We rescue most of our pets through county shelters, however we welcome all individual rescues and will be happy to list them as a courtesy post! We are in need of Foster Homes! If you would like to open your home and heart to one of our rescued pets by fostering, please let us know!
We would like to thank the staff at the Michigan Street Animal Hospital, the Kindred Spirits Animal Hospital, our Petco Partner on the corner of Bumby and Colonial, ELF Pet Products for their generous donation of keeping our dogs fed with high quality food, and the Petco Foundation for their compassion and generosity.
