**THIS IS A COURTESY POST**
THIS IS A COURTESY POST CAT WHO IS BEING CARED FOR BY OUR FRIENDS AT OTHER RESCUE GROUPS/SHELTERS, OR IS A PRIVATE PARTY NEEDING TO REHOME THEIR CAT. FOR INFORMATION ON THIS CAT, PLEASE DIRECTLY CONTACT THE PERSON NAMED BELOW.
Loki is a 3 year old maine coon mix, he is a big, 20 pound boy that is as fluffy as can be (he is chubby but not overweight, just SO fluffy and big boned) and just a total gentle giant and sweetheart. He loves lounging and playing occasionally but cannot play too much as he gets out of breath quickly. He isn't much of a lap cat and doesn't like being held but will lay next to you and roll around for belly rubs for hours with his loud engine going. He nips you gently for pets when he wants you to pet him and you are busy or trying to sleep, he loves kitty treats and feather toys. His personality is as big as he is and he hates being brushed, it infuriates him but he is never mean and will endure it. He loves other cats and kittens, utterly gentle with even new ones but I wouldn't trust him around dogs being his size and never having been around them. He is neutered as well, not de-clawed and indoors only. He knows his name very well, it matches him as he is pretty mischievous. He loves sunning himself in the window and runs to hide when strangers come knocking but comes out to investigate the new person after a few minutes. He is too big to be a scardy cat but he is for the most part and it is utterly endearing. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old. A few weeks ago I took him to the vet for asthma like symptoms and they diagnosed him with the tracheal collapse. He is doing fine now but will need medicines with every flare up and I can't afford it (disabled) and eventually may need surgery which goes through a specialist and I cannot afford even if I saved up for it. Please help me and help Loki, I don't want to see him die at such a young age just because I don't have enough money upfront for possible surgery in the next three years.
